 The Drain / Waste Fitting is located on the bottom of filter tank. It includes a barb, a nut with flat o-ring and a threaded plug with small round o-ring. Use the large flat O-ring on the inside of the filter tank. The plug has a small o-ring also.
As an option to using the plug please consider the following: The end of the drain fitting has a 1" sch 40 PVC female thread. You can install a 1" PVC male adapter with wrapping tape and then glue on an optional 1" gate valve for more convenient cleaning and draining.
